How it works

  1. 01

    Place the tag.
    Just once.

On the table, at reception, in the room, on the counter. Every tag has a permanent link: you can move it, reassign it or switch it off without touching what you have already printed.

  2. 02

    The guest brings
    their phone close.

With NFC they just hold it near, with the QR they just scan it. A light page opens in your venue's colours: no download, no sign-up.

  3. 03

    You change everything
    from the dashboard.

Tonight's menu, a new Wi-Fi password, the weekend event. You edit from phone or computer and the same tag takes guests straight to the right content.

The card

Your card,
with your venue on it.

Credit-card size, framed in ndefy colours. Your venue's logo goes on the front; on the back there is the spot to tap and a QR for phones without NFC. We prepare and print it for you.

  2. Tap areaA 32 mm circle above the chip's antenna: the guest holds the phone there and your page opens.
  3. Spare QR12 × 12 mm on the back: it leads to the same page as the tag, for phones without NFC.
  4. ndefy frameThe brand's blue-to-violet gradient. If you prefer, the card can be all white.

See the floor,
know the numbers.

Beyond the tags, NDEFY helps you run the service: where the guests are, what sells, what is running low in stock and what happens when you cancel an order. See how it works, one step at a time.

The Sales report is included in the Restaurant edition. Floor map and Advanced stock are enabled on request in your quote.

01

The floor map, live.

Draw the room as it really is: tables, counter, terrace, doors. Then the map colours itself while you work.

  1. Drawn in minutesDrag tables and furniture: they line up on their own. Ready-made shapes, chairs, floor of your choice.
  2. Status updates itselfGuests seated, order in the kitchen, bill requested: colour, icon and text for every table, without touching anything.
  3. Spot who is waiting at onceOne tap on “Needs you” highlights only those tables; the card shows guests and seats.

Not only tables: hairdresser stations, beauty cabins, rooms, desks. The map is the same.

02

The sales report, without spreadsheets.

Every order from the table becomes data: you find it already sorted by day, hour and product.

  1. Revenue, orders, average ticketCompared with the previous period.
  2. How the month is goingDay-by-day trend, collected and still to collect kept apart.
  3. When you sell mostPeak days and hours in a heat map.
  4. What sells and what doesn'tBest sellers and the dishes on the menu nobody orders.
  5. Export in one tapA CSV ready for your accountant or your own spreadsheet.
03

Stock that deducts itself.

Write each dish's recipe once. From then on every confirmed order deducts the ingredients, and you always know what it costs and what it earns.

  1. An order comes inThe guest orders from the table and the staff confirms it.
  2. Ingredients go downGuanciale, pecorino, eggs: the estimated stock updates automatically. If the order is cancelled, they come back.
  3. A critical ingredient is missing? The dish becomes “sold out” for guests and nobody orders it by mistake.
  4. Record the deliveryIncoming goods refill the stock and the average cost is recalculated with the new price.
  5. Food cost and marginFor every dish, plus the month's waste and shortfalls.
04

Cancel an order, the refund starts on its own.

If the guest paid by card in the app, deleting the order refunds their card through Stripe. If they paid in cash or at the POS, they simply see that the order was deleted.

  1. Order paid by cardYou see it in the order list, with its payment status.
  2. Press “Delete”A single gesture, from the floor staff.
  3. Automatic refundIt starts at once and only once, even if you press twice.
  4. The guest is toldTheir phone shows “Order deleted” with the amount on its way.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need a phone with NFC?

No. Every tag also has a QR: anyone without NFC, or with it switched off, scans the code and reaches the same page.

If I change the menu, do I have to reprint anything?

No. The tag points to a permanent link: you change the content in the dashboard and the tag shows the new version straight away.

Can I manage several locations or several people?

Yes. Each account sees only its own tags and pages, and the administrator decides limits and permissions for each venue.

What data do you collect about my guests?

The minimum needed to give you useful statistics: device type, country and referring site. No IP addresses, no fingerprints, no profiles.

Does the floor map work even if I don't run a restaurant?

Yes. A “space” can be a table, a counter, a hairdresser station, a cabin, a room or a desk: you draw the plan and follow its status the same way.

How does the stock know what I have used?

From the recipes: for each dish you list the ingredients and quantities of one portion. Every confirmed order deducts them, every cancellation returns them; deliveries, waste and counts you record yourself in a few taps.

If I delete an order that was already paid, is the guest refunded?

If they paid by card in the app, yes, automatically to the same card. If they paid in cash or at the POS nothing moves automatically: the guest sees that the order was deleted and you handle the refund yourself.

Do you supply the tags?

We can recommend formats and materials suited to your space, or you can use your own: they just need to be NDEF-compatible NFC tags, or you print the QR.
